The Gould House was built ca 1840 and is one of the last remaining buildings associated with the Bethel community in west Chatham County, GA. Jacob Gould himself established Bethel in the late 1770s.

Concerned for the house's future preservation, the current owners reached out to Ethos for assistance. Ethos is currently completing measured drawings of the house, a National Register nomination, a preservation plan to guide rehabilitation decisions, and is advising on the obtainment of a preservation easement to protect the property in perpetuity.
