HISTORIC TAX CREDITS
Rose Cottage
SAVANNAH, GA
The Rose Cottage was built circa 1886 as a two room house. By 1915, an addition had been constructed. The first known resident was travel agent David R. Rose.
Suffering from deterioration after being vacant for many decades, the Historic Savannah Foundation acquired the property as part of its Revolving Fund, establishing historic covenants and locating a preservation minded buyer. The Rose Cottage is a contributing resource to the Cuyler Brownsville local and National Register historic districts.
Ethos was responsible for the submission of a local Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) for compliance with local historic district requirements and the submission of state and federal historic tax incentive applications. Additionally, Ethos is working with the Historic Savannah Foundation to ensure compliance with historic covenants. The project is anticipated to be completed in 2022.
