HISTORIC TAX CREDITS

Whitfield House

SAVANNAH, GA

Built ca. 1903, the Whitfield House sits within Savannah's Eastside National Register Historic District. Long in need of repair, the Historic Savannah Foundation purchased the property as part of its Revolving Fund, who in turn sold the property to the current owner with historic covenants. Work included the restoration of the single family floor plan and a long lost wrap around porch as informed by historic maps and surveys. The project was the recipient of a Historic Savannah Foundation Award and a Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation Award.

Ethos filed historic tax incentive applications to financially support the project, while also coordinating with the Historic Savannah Foundation to ensure all covenant requirements are met.

Shamrock+ documented the property prior to the commencement of work to include the images included above and the interior drone footage (below).
